It snowed in Shanghai on Wednesday! The kids were terribly distracted and I could understand why. After all, it was a rarity and it was the first time I had actually experienced snowfall, a ‘bona fide’ one. The scenery outside was refreshingly beautiful. Even my grown up colleagues were visibly excited, like little boys and girls rushing outdoors to play with the snow. As for me, who had been decorating the corridors with fake glittering snowflakes these past couple of weeks, I could finally touch and admire real ones in my hands.
All that drama.
In the late afternoon, we had a feast in the school cafe. A memorable one. It ended too soon as we had to catch the school bus home, but not after taking a picture in the snow.
Fingers crossed. I hope it will snow again on Christmas day.
